We only carry GENUINE KGB AND MVD Awards here. We try to get the original award documents if possible, and all documented awards come with an English translation FREE OF CHARGE. They're hard to get, they're not cheap, but they are Genuine. If you want something cheap and of questionable authenticity, you won't find it here.

  1. SUPERB AWARD GROUP TO OGPU/NKVD/MVD MAN V. ALEXEEV Possibly the finest Group of Awards to a member of the Soviet Security Services. This Group starts with a Silver Cigarette Case with hallmarks Awarded and engraved with the following: "To Comrade Alexeev V. for dedicated fighting against enemies of the dictatorship of the proletariat from P.P., OGPU of Leningrad Military District". This case has an engraved floral pattern on the outside that is worn from use, but the engraved inscription on the inside is in Mint Condition! In July of 1934, the OGPU was reincorporated into the NKVD, so this cigarette case was Awarded sometime between 1924 and 1934. The next item in this superb group is a Type 2 20 Years of the RKKA Medal with Award Book. The Award Book has a photo of the recipiant, has the proper stamp, and was awarded in 1938. Then there is a WW2 Award Book which lists the following very high Orders: an Order of Lenin with a very low Serial # of 48982; a Solid Gold 1st Class Order of the Great Patriotic War with a Serial # of 202682; 2 Orders of the Red Banner, Serial # 103443 and 182055; and finally, an early Monetny Dvor screwpost base Red Star with a Serial # of 54600. All of these Awards are in Mint Condition, and there are no missing awards listed in the Award Book. Then there are the following 2 WW2 medals that were Awarded by and signed by the NKVD: Capture of Berlin, and Victory Over Germany. V. Alexeev also received the Defense of Leningrad Medal, and it looks to be the goldplated version as well. Also included with this Group is the following: a 1985 Issue 2nd Class OGPW; a 20 Years of Victory Medal; a 25 Years of Victory Badge; a 30 Years of Victory Medal; a 40 Years of Victory Medal; a 60 Years of Armed Forces Medal; a 70 Years of Armed Forces Medal; and a 250 Years of Leningrad Medal. And, last but not least, V. Alexeev's Official MVD ID Book with photo and proper stamp. All in all, a very impressive Documented Group of high Awards to a member of the Soviet Union's notorious Security Services that is not likely to be duplicated any time soon.   2. FEDCHENKO GROUP. Extensive NKVD/MVD Group. Awarded to Fedchenko Petr Ilich, this Group consists of the following Military Awards: a Combat Service Medal (w/o Serial #), a Victory Over Germany Medal Awarded by the NKVD, a 1985 Issue 2nd Class OGPW, a 30 Years of Armed Forces Medal Award by Ministry of Government Security, a 70 Years of Armed Forces Medal, a 20 Years of Victory Medal, a 25 Years of Victory Badge, and a 40 Years of Victory Medal.   3. NKVMF (NAVAL INTELLIGENCE/"SMERSH") GROUP WW2 Issue. Awarded to Leonova Achafya Filinnovna, this Group consists of: a VERY RARE Defense of Sevastopol Medal, and a Defense of the Caucasus Medal. Both Documents bear NKVMF stamps. A little about the NKVMF: "On 8 February 1941, the Special Sections of the NKVD (responsible for counter-intelligence in the military) were given to the Army and Navy (NKO and NKVMF) where they became the SMERSH (from Smert' Shpionam or "Death to Spies")".   10. ARMED FORCES VETERAN MEDALS (2) ISSUED BY KGB AND ARMY I have never heard of nor seen a dual issue of this medal before. Konstantin Victorovich Mazheyka received both of these medals in 1977. On April 15, 1977, he was Awarded this medal by the Vice-Head of the Lithuanian KGB, General Major V. Paplausov, and on May 5, 1977 he was Awarded a second medal by a Lt. Colonel in the Kretingsk Military District. VERY UNUSUAL and indicates that this man served in both the Soviet Armed Forces and the KGB. Both the Medals and the Documents are in MINT CONDITION. WW2 ISSUE BRAVERY MEDAL AND 50th ANNIVERSARY OF SOVIET MILITIA MEDAL Awarded to Sergeant Major Trifon Prokofievich Senchuk in May of 1945, the SOLID SILVER Bravery Medal has a Serial # of 2482908. The medal is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, but the suspension ring at the top of the medal has broken off and been reattached by it's owner at some point. The 50th Anniversary of the Soviet Militia Medal is in MINT CONDITION, and was Awarded on April 22, 1968 by General of the Internal Service (MOOP) 3rd Ranga (Rank) I. Pokus in Kharkov. SOVIET 60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE GEORGIAN MILITIA TABLE MEDAL This SOLID BRONZE Table Medal was Awarded to a member of the Georgian Militia in 1981, on the 60th Anniversary of the Georgian Militia.   19. 1st ALL SOVIET UNION CONGRESS OF MVD VETERANS, BREST TABLE MEDAL This beautiful SOLID BRASS Table Medal was Awarded to those Veterans of the Soviet MVD that met in Brest, Belarus in 1982. This is the 1st one I have had in five years of Collecting! It is 2 1/8 inches in diameter and nearly 3/16 of an inch thick. It is VERY HEAVY!!!   21. MEDAL FOR DISTINCTION IN GUARDING THE STATE BORDER OF THE USSR Variation 2. Instituted on July 13, 1950. Awarded to KGB Border Guard troops and KGB personnel for military accomplishments and special achievements displayed in guarding the state border of the USSR. Since this medal was awarded by the Chairman of the Committee of State Security of the USSR (KGB), it was awarded almost exclusively to KGB personnel. This medal is a Variation 2 medal, made of Silverplated SILVER ALLOY, and has a depiction of a KGB Border Guard holding a PPSH submachine gun. The reverse side has "CCCP" on it, indicating that it was Soviet Issue. Those medals without "CCCP" on them were issued after the demise of the Soviet Union, and are worth considerably less.   22. PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC ORDER MEDAL, VARIATION 2 Instituted on November 1, 1950. Awarded to rank and file members and authorities of the organs of Internal Affairs and servicemen in the the Internal Troops (MVD) for achievements in preserving the public order and in the struggle with crime. The obverse (front) of the medal has the words in Russian "For Distinguished Service in the Preservation of Public Order", while the reverse has the Seal of the Soviet Union. ONLY 47,000 ISSUED!!!   42. SOVIET MVD OFFICER'S WINTER HAT This is an MVD Officer's Winter Hat made of Wool and featuring an MVD Officer's Hat Badge. This hat was worn by Officer's of the Internal Security Forces of the USSR, along with their Overcoats. The inside of the hat has a grey quilted satin lining. The hat is in NEAR MINT CONDITION.
