  1. ORDER OF NAKHIMOV - 2nd CLASS Instituted on March, 3 1944. Awarded only to Naval Officers, the Order of Nakhimov - 2nd Class was Awarded for a successfully accomplished mission displaying personal bravery with caused the destruction of enemy ships and valuable enemy objectives.   2. ORDER OF SUVOROV - 2nd CLASS, TYPE 2 Instituted on July, 29 1942. Awarded only to Officers, the Order of Suvorov - 2nd Class was Awarded for the breakthrough of an enemy defensive belt; development of the breakthrough and subsequent, relentless pursuit; encirclement; and destruction of the enemy. It was named after the Russian General Alexander Suvorov, one of the only Generals in history never to lose a battle. With ONLY 2,186 INDIVIDUALS AWARDED, the Order of Suvorov - 2nd Class is VERY RARE (Rarity Rating of R3). This Order is in NEAR MINT CONDITION, and is made of SOLID GOLD, SILVER and Red Enamel.   3. ORDER OF BOGDAN KHMELNITSKY - 3rd CLASS WITH ORDER BOOK. Instituted on October 10, 1943, this Order was conceived by then Political General-Lieutenant Nikita Khrushchev. Named for the famous Ukrainian leader, Bogdan Mikhailovich Khmelnitsky, this Award was given primarily to soldiers and partisans on the Ukrainian Front. The 3rd Class Order was Awarded to only 5,306 individuals and 216 units. The Order is made of SOLID SILVER in the shape of a ten-pointed star.   4. ORDER OF GLORY - 1st CLASS Type 1. Instituted on November, 8 1943. Awarded to servicemen and lieutenants of the Soviet Army and Air Force who have previously received the 2nd and 3rd Class Order of Glory, for feats of valor and displays of courage in defence of the Soviet Union. Made of SOLID GOLD and red enamel. This Order has a LOW SERIAL # OF 1814, and features the lightly pebbled reverse that is found on the Early Orders. This Order is VERY RARE (Rarity Rating of R3), with only about 3800 Awarded.   5. ORDER OF LENIN, TYPE 4 , VARIATION 2, SCREWBACK. Instituted on April 6, 1930, the order is the highest award of the USSR. Many of the first awardees were heroes from the Russian Civil War and high-ranking military leaders. The Type 4 Order of Lenin was Awarded from June 11, 1936, to June 19, 1943. VERY RARE (Rarity Rating of R3), The Type 4 was AWARDED ONLY ABOUT 17,000 TIMES, and is made of an ounce of SOLID 23K GOLD while the center is made of PLATINUM.   6. ORDER OF THE BADGE OF HONOR, SCREWBACK, 1936 VERSION TYPE 2, VARIATION 1. Instituted on November 25, 1935. Awarded for achievements in production, research, culture and social activities. Made of SOLID SILVER, with goldplating and enamel. What can I say about this piece. I had Paul McDaniel authenticate it since it is EXTREMELY RARE (Rarity Rating of R4), and few people have even seen one. Paul said that he has seen but five of these, and two of them are in Germany. He further states that it ranks at 98% as for Condition.   7. ORDER OF THE RED BANNER, 4th AWARD Type 3, Variation 4. Instituted on August 1, 1924. Awarded for Bravery and courage displayed in the defence of the Socialist Homeland. Made of Silver, goldplating and enamel. Subsequent Awarding of the Red Banner to a recipient were denoted with the number of Red Banners received located on a small shield at the bottom of the Order. VERY FEW PEOPLE RECEIVED MORE THAN TWO RED BANNERS. Paul McDaniel in his "Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals" says that only one of these Type 3 Red Banners with a "4" has been observed, and gives this Fourth Award Order a Rarity Rating of R4!!!   8. ORDER OF THE PATRIOTIC WAR - 1st CLASS - TYPE 1, VARIATION 3, FULLY RESEARCHED 1943 ISSUE. Instituted on May 20, 1942. Awarded both to officers and men of the Soviet Army and Navy for personal bravery and courage. MADE OF ALMOST 1/3 OUNCE OF SOLID GOLD, with Silver, and red and white enamel. This Order has been researched at the Russian Defense Ministry Archives, and comes with the following documents: Information Card from the Archives containing much information about the recipient (Senior Lieutenant Vasily Nikolaevich Leshin) ; A copy of the Award Sheet containing much information about the recipient's war record including his other award (Order of Red Star); and copies of the Order Cards telling the disposition of the awards. All of the above documents bear the Official stamps of the Archive. In addition, the following documents are included: an English translation of the the Information Card and Award Sheet; a copy of a Russian map showing where the recipient was born; a copy of the history of the Rifle Division to which the recipient belonged; and a copy of a map of the Western Front, showing the disposition of the Red Army and German Army at the time of the recipients death. Yes, that right, this Order was awarded posthumously. The U.S. Army Captain that translated these documents states "Another form from the archives states that the medal was presented to his mother, curiously enough, a lieutenant. I have translated nearly 300 award citations and this is the only posthumous award citation I have encountered."   9. ORDER OF THE OCTOBER REVOLUTION. ILLUSTRATED IN A MAJOR SOVIET MILITARIA REFERENCE BOOK This Variation 2 Order of the October Revolution is illustrated on page 63 of "The Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals" by McDaniel and Schmitt, and is described as the highest serial # observed. Instituted on October 31, 1967, the order was established to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Revolution. It is the second highest order after the Order of Lenin.   11. ORDER OF THE PATRIOTIC WAR - 2nd CLASS - TYPE 1, VARIATION 3. WW II Issue, AWARDED IN 1943. Instituted on May 20, 1942. Awarded both to officers and men of the Soviet Army and Navy for personal bravery and courage. This early version of this order has a small rectangular suspension, and was only made from mid-1942 until June 19, 1943. Made of silver and enamel, and has a SOLID GOLD HAMMER AND SICKLE.   13. ORDER OF GLORY - 2nd CLASS, WITH RARE COMBAT SUSPENSION Type 2, Thin Variation. Instituted on November, 8 1943. Awarded to servicemen and lieutenants of the Soviet Army and Air Force who have already received the 3rd Class Order of Glory, for feats of Valor and displays of Courage in Defence of the Soviet Union. Made of SOLID SILVER, with goldplating and red enamel. I don't know what else to call this Rare type of suspenion. It is made of metal, and encloses the entire back of the ribbon except for a slot which allows the pin to be attached to the uniform. The front originally had a plastic covering, and there are still traces of this around the edges. There are still traces of Gold gilt on the back of this suspension indicating that all the metal parts were originally goldplated, but being worn in Combat, this is all but gone. This type of suspension is shown being worn by a Soviet Soldier on page 200 of The Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals.   16. HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION GOLD STAR STAR MEDAL, FULLY RESEARCHED. Type 2, Variation 2. The Title of "Hero of Soviet Union" was the highest distinction awarded in the USSR. On August 1, 1939 the Gold Star Medal was established as a visible means to identify a "Hero of Soviet Union". Winning the Title of "Hero of the Soviet Union" was very difficult. When you read what this particular soldier did, you will agree that he fully deserves it. That's right, this Gold Star Medal has been fully researched at the Russian Archives, and comes with an English Translation of that research. The Hero Medal is made of SOLID GOLD in the shape of a five-pointed star. On the reverse of the medal is the words in Russian "Hero USSR".   17. HERO OF SOCIALIST LABOR GOLD HAMMER AND SICKLE MEDAL TYPE 2, VARIATION 2. The title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" was the highest labor distinction awarded in the USSR. On May 22, 1940 the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal was established as a visible means to identify a "Hero of Socialist Labor". Many of the USSR's top weapons designers, aviation engineers, and industrialists were awarded the title, with Joseph Stalin being the first person awarded. The Hero Medal is made of SOLID GOLD in the shape of a five-pointed star. On the center of the obverse (front) of the medal is a hammer and sickle.   22. NAKHIMOV MEDAL - TYPE 1, VARIATION 2 WW2 ISSUE. Instituted on March 3, 1944. Awarded mainly to Enlisted Sailors, but also awarded to soldiers, petty officers, non-commissioned officers and warrant officers of the Navy and Naval Border Guards. This medal is made of Brass, and has a depiction of Admiral Nakhimov on the obverse (Front), while the reverse has a sailing ship and anchors on it. With ONLY 13,000 AWARDED, this is A VERY RARE MEDAL!!!   27. MEDAL FOR DEFENCE OF KIEV - MINT MISTAKE Variation 2. This Rare Variation 2 Medal is the result of a mint worker placing the improper die in the minting press (see pg. 275 in The Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals). The reverse of the medal is actually the reverse of the Capture of Vienna Medal. As Paul McDaniel states, "It would be interesting to find out what, if any, punishment resulted from the mistake.   29. 5th Anniversary of the Cheka - GPU, 1917 - 1922 BADGE.According to Shawn Caza (noted expert on the KGB), this badge was issued by the GPU on the 5th Anniversary of the Cheka in 1922, and the only known serial number is 587. Well, I had one before that had the Award book and was awarded to a KGB General, so let's say there are atleast a handful of these that have survived. This badge is made of SOLID SILVER, has a large red enamelled "V" in the centre, and has "1917" at 11 o'clock and "1922" at the 1o'clock position. It is a screwback with multi-piece construction, oval in shape with a sword, hammer & sickle, and ribbon. This badge is in EXCELLENT++ CONDITION and was personally Awarded by Feliks Dzerzhinskii, founder of the Cheka (predecessor of the KGB), to the recipient in 1922.   30. SOVIET DISTINGUISHED WORKER IN THE MVD BADGE - TYPE 2, VARIATION 2 This is a GENUINE Distinguished Worker of the MVD Badge that was the Highest Award to high ranking MVD Officers. This badge was introduced shortly after the NKVD became the MVD (March of 1946). This badge is intricately made, and features multi-piece construction. It is made of GERMAN SILVER with gold-plating, and features the beautiful enamel work that the Russians are famous for. It is maker marked (Moskovskii Menetnyi Dvor), and bears the Serial # of 14647.     ORDER AND MEDAL GROUPS

  32. A FAMOUS SOVIET KGB GENERAL'S GROUP. This is what I like to call "The Ultimate KGB Group". The owner of this Group was a Famous KGB General, a personal bodyguard of Feliks Dzerzhinskii, an author (Notes of an Old Chekist), prisoner (arrested in 1934 in connection with the murder of S. M. Kirov; Executed in 1937; Rehabilitated in 1954), movie subject (Adjutant His Excellency) in which the story was taken from the life of this person. The Group consists of the following: 5 Years of the Cheka/GPU Badge; The Statute Book and Award Book for the Badge, SIGNED BY DZERZHINSKII; 50 Years of the KGB Badge; The Award Book for the 50 Years of the KGB Badge; and a SOLID GOLD Watch Awarded for the 10th Anniversary of the RKKA (Red Army) in 1928.   33. A COMPLETE GROUP OF A HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION. A Hero of the Soviet Union was given five specific Awards and Documents, along with the Title of Hero of the Soviet Union. A SOVIET COLONEL'S OGPU/NKVD/NKGB/MGB/KGB GROUP A Nice (and RARE) Group of Badges and Documents Issued to Kondratev Anatolyi Petrovich who served in the State Security Forces of the USSR in the 1930's, 40's, and 50's. This man started out in the OGPU, moved to the NKVD when the OGPU became the NKVD, moved to the NKGB when the NKVD was split into the NKVD and NKGB, moved to the MGB when the NKVD became the MGB, and finally wound up in the newly formed KGB in 1954. This Group consists of the following: A GENUINE AND VERY RARE KGB ID BOOK; His Honored Chekist Badge, Serial #4105 with Award Document; His Communist Party ID Book (member since September of 1932) in an embossed Leather Cover; His 50 Years of the Communist Party Badge with Issue Document; His Uzbek Deputies Badge with Deputies ID Book; His Military ID Book, detailing his Service from November 12, 1930 as a soldier, his joining the OGPU in May of 1934, to his retirement from the KGB in 1956; and finally, his KGB Issued Pension Book.   36. SOVIET ADMIRAL OF THE FLEET GORSHKOV'S SUMMER DRESS UNIFORM *EXTREMELY RARE* This is without a doubt, one of our greatest finds. Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union is the Naval equivalent of the Marshal of the Soviet Union. Admiral Gorshkov was the Minister of Defence of the USSR for nearly 30 years, and was known as the father of the modern Soviet Navy. He was the only Soviet Admiral to receive 7 Orders of Lenin, and they are the first seven ribbons displayed on his chest. He also was a Hero of the Soviet Union, and his wearers copy of his Gold Star Medal is also included with the uniform. Very few uniforms of Admiral Gorshkov are in private hands, with several being in the Central Army Museum in Moscow, and the Naval Museum in St. Petersburg.   38. SOVIET KGB COLONEL-GENERAL'S PARADE DRESS UNIFORM *RARE* This Rare uniform belonged to a COLONEL-GENERAL (3 STARS) in the Soviet Navy. Included are: the Tunic, with Royal Blue piping and extensive bullion work around both the collar and sleeves; the pants, which have the heavy Royal Blue stripe found only on KGB General's pants; and the KGB General's Visor Cap with the Royal Blue hatband.
